Sake-based liqueur made from red shiso grown in Kyoto. The first nose is vegetal and fragrant. In addition to shiso, it is reminiscent of basil, damp wood moss and plum. The attack is fresh and tangy. We find the aroma of red shiso with a hint of black pepper, fresh but also cooked basil, and rosemary. It is slightly vegetal and sweet at the same time, the sweetness is however controlled: it is not syrupy. The finish is always on the same aroma with a hint of prune at the very end of the tasting. Produced by Matsui House (founded in 1726), in Kyoto City, Japan. Alcohol content: 10% Keeps refrigerated for several weeks after opening Japanese product imported directly from Japan by WeWantSake
