KAGURA WHITE Sake Junmai Daiginjo 720ml

The top of the Kagura range, sake made from local Kyoto rice "Iwai". The first nose is intense and aromatic with notes of orchard fruits. There's also a sweet sensation to the rice and a hint of ripe strawberry. The second nose opens with beautiful fine notes of anise and lime zest. The palate is fresh, with a roundness on the attack and a light umami that comes gradually and develops throughout the tasting. The beautiful roundness becomes velvety in the middle of the mouth. The finish is fresh with a hint of lemon and a pleasant length. The umami continues as does the roundness. It is a refined and delicate sake in its power. ­ It is unclarified, undiluted, and pasteurized only once directly in the bottle for maximum aroma and freshness. Kagura is produced by the prestigious Matsui House, located in the heart of Kyoto and rich in three centuries of history. Matsui House is the official supplier of several prestigious temples and shrines in the former Japanese imperial capital, such as Ginkaku-ji (“silver pavilion”), Kinkaku-ji (“golden pavilion”), Kifune-jinja, etc. Alcohol content: 15% Serve chilled (12°C) in a wine glass Pairing ideas: Raw white fish, shrimp and vegetable tempura, a seafood platter, oysters, or fruit salad with peaches.
