Junmai Kihin sake is a delicious and seductive sake! The nose is aromatic with green notes of apple, lychee and passion fruit. There are tangy, fruity notes on the nose, it's lovely. The second nose opens with a slight intensity of lychee, passion fruit and a touch of ripe starfruit and light raspberry. The mouthfeel is fresh with a slight roundness on the attack. There is a lovely fluidity on the palate, with notes of exotic fruits, plum, raspberry and apricot. The finish is velvety but with a direct and sweet touch. It's long with a touch of almond at the very end of the tasting. Alcohol content: 15.1% Best enjoyed in a wine glass, chilled (12°C) or at room temperature (18°C). Pairing suggestions: Pineapple and langoustine carpaccio with lime zest mayonnaise, crab and seafood platter, lemon chicken, tofu blancmange with mango coulis.
