Emotion Flashcards – Montessori Learning Tool

I feel proud, happy, in love! After weeks of drawing and preparing, my own set of emotion flashcards is now available. It is a set of 12 cards for which I drew the faces myself, by hand. I did my best to make drawings that hopefully many children can identify with. I thought this was super important! Why emotion flashcards now? I am a huge fan of learning through play. Play is also a way for children to learn to regulate emotions. The emotion flashcards let your child get to know and learn about emotions in a playful way. It is also a fun way for you as a parent to start a conversation with your child. How does it feel, while calculating, while playing, or in a certain situation? The set of emotion flashcards consists of 12 double-sided printed cards in A6 format. On one side is the emotion with the corresponding emotion word below it in clear text. On the other side is only the picture, so you can practice with your child which word goes with it. Talking together about how your child is feeling and giving your child the confidence to express emotions is so valuable! The 12 emotions are recognizable for children: happy, nervous, shy, cheerful, insecure, angry, afraid, angry, sad, surprised, in love and proud. The drawings are deliberately simple to reduce distraction by bright colors and 'imperfect' - the heads are not exactly round. The emotion flashcards have a beautiful appearance because they are printed on sturdy 295 grams PaperWise paper, which is made from recycled agricultural waste.
