Phosphorus contributes to strong roots, so that the root system of the plant is more resistant to diseases and lower temperatures. In addition, phosphorus ensures sufficient production of new root hairs. The root hairs are of great importance for transporting nutrients in the plant. Water at room temperature Gardeners who water the plants with the watering can are advised to first heat the cold tap water (for example by mixing it with warm water) before we start watering. When only the cold tap water from the tap is used, the plant will have to deal with a major blow time and again. Cold nutrient water has a delaying effect on the plant, so that it will develop less well. Moreover, the large temperature differences often cause (unnecessary) stress.
