Woof and Snout

Woof and Snout is a small independent business from the Yorkshire Wolds. We are a family team. Meg is our head director, she designs all of our products alongside handcrafting all of our grooming range and the majority of our apparel. Jamie is our director of operations, working on logistics in the background. Our toddler CEO, Ana, supervises all daily activities and our two DEO’s, Callie and Poppy, inspire every creation.

The business was created in 2023. It began from a desire for safe, secure apparel for dogs which was colourful and aesthetic as well as practical. Our oldest border collie was reactive, and after having many dog products break and fail, we decided to create our own instead, so we could trust the products we use. This is when we started to create strength-tested, waterproof leads and collars.

After Poppy joined our family, we had her fitted for a ‘safe’ harness in the UK from a well-known brand. The following week, we almost lost her as it hadn’t been fitted correctly and our trust was gone. So, we began working with trustworthy suppliers to craft our range of high-quality, explorer harnesses. All our harnesses feature a non-restrictive, ergonomic design to maintain the welfare of all dogs using our products, whilst also being strength-tested and designed with safety in mind.

In 2024, our shampoo bars were designed and crafted due to a need to make bathtime easier for dogs who are not a fan of the tub. After Poppy escaped from the bath when Meg was fumbling with the shampoo bottle, we decided there must be an easier way. Shampoo bars offered an easy, practical and sustainable solution. But, they are well-known for being drying, hard-to-lather and quite honestly, boring! So, we created a range that lathers easily, conditions dogs coats and, of course, is as colourful and full of joy as our dogs are themselves!
