The owner, Constantinos Kyriacou is a jewellery designer with numerous commissions and exhibitions of contemporary jewellery worldwide since 1994 and his is now in fashion too. He studied in Florence, and contributed to important editions of contemporary jewellery and art books during the last 15 years. Amongst other commissions, he designed the Millenium jewellery collection spring/summer haute couture 1999 for YVES SAINT LAURENT.
YUME ("dream" in Japanese) started because a dream and the passion to conquest it, which is the "easy living" within harmony and aesthetics. So YUME is part of the dream but also the medium to reach the "whole" dream.
We are based in Cyprus. To make a caftan it takes approximately 5 hours. YUME kaftans are ethically produced in a friendly, and creative environment.
We use 100% linen, the finest of European linen fabrics. We stone wash them to reach the absolute softness, and there is zero shrinkage at washing.
The designs are based on traditional eastern garments, affected by the Japanese simplicity and the "fusion" perception of Aesthetics and Harmony of Constantinos Kyriacou.
