Long-handled bamboo whisk for matcha - Chasen

This long-handled bamboo whisk allows you to whisk your matcha tea directly in a glass or cup without needing to use a bowl. Since matcha is a green tea powder and not a brewed tea, it must be mixed. This type of "chasen" and its pretty support have been specially designed for the preparation of matcha tea. It is carefully cut from a single piece of bamboo to obtain 32 stems! These allow you to whisk the matcha and obtain a light foam on the surface of the drink, as required by Japanese tradition. 🌱USE AND MAINTENANCE First of all, you will notice that a new chasen and a used chasen have different appearances. On a new chasen, the center rods are closed, attached to each other. From the first use, like a flower blooming, the whip will begin to open. 👉🏽 USE: Hold your cup or glass with one hand and whisk your matcha+water mixture with the other. The gesture must reproduce the shape of an “M”. It is energetic without being heavy. In fact, the stems of your whisk should only touch the bottom and edges of the bowl. After about twenty seconds, a small foam appears. It's ready ! 👉🏽 RINSING AND DRYING: You can rinse your whisk in cold water without adding any cleaning product. Then let it dry upright, stems upwards, or lying on its support, in the open air. To avoid mold, it is important not to put it back in its case. This recycled and recyclable cardboard box is only used to protect the whip during travel. After a certain number of uses of your chasen (estimated at 300 uses, on average), certain strands will begin to weaken. Then it will be time to get a brand new one!
