Meantan Gorm- Blue Tit

The Meantan Gorm or Blue Tit is one of Irelands most colourful garden birds. Here he is created in textiles using batik and vibrant dyes to capture his hues of blue and yellow. This piece is printed on cotton and finished by quilting with free machine embroidery and hand stitching to create a relief effect.The Blue Tit is a frequent visitor to Anitas bird table and one of her favourites with its bright and cheerful appearance.
