Ariane is a French designer who, after training in the most selectives workshops in Paris and London and working for firms such as Alexander McQueen, settled near Barcelona to create her own lingerie brand based on sustainability and craftsmanship.
Every piece of Ariane Delarue’s collection is lovingly crafted by hand.
She designs and carefully fits each piece herself in her atelier; keeping sustainability and environmental impact in mind at every step, beginning with the design process.
Ariane hand-designs the entire collection, from shapes and fits to pattern making; applying the Haute-Couture techniques she acquired during her career.
The collection is carefully cut by hand in the atelier and sewn together in their entirety by one maker in Barcelona.
The fabrics used to create the collection are locally sourced, to minimise impact on the environment and carbon footprint.
Upcycling to avoid overproduction, Ariane is using sustainable raw materials at every opportunity. Selection is based on factors such as whether the fabric can last a lifetime, and whether it will biodegrade at the end of its lifecycle. She buys laces on existing stocks from local boutiques or made in Europe. They are mainly antiques, GOTS certified and when possible created with recycled fibres.
Due to this sourcing process, Ariane Delarue collections are limited editions.
