Black and white poster reissue of the cover of The Inland Printer magazine vol. XIII, No. 4 published in 1894. Designed by William Henry Bradley. Bradley's drawing plays with real and reflected imagery, combining the form of a woman wading in a lily pond with that of another person standing behind her on the bank. HAS Right, the reflection of a term of Pan appears through the water lilies. The Inland Printer was a Chicago magazine for the printing industry, featuring articles on advances in presses, typefaces, and inks. It was the first American magazine to change its cover image with each issue, an initiative by Bradley whose aesthetic was influenced by European poster artists and illustrators, notably Aubrey Beardsley, whose drawings decorated the British magazine Yellow Book.
