Ayurveda states that when you keep water in a copper bottle or cup for at least 12 – 18 hours, it has a balancing effect on the three bio-energies (doshas) that circulate through the human body (Vata: air element, Pitta: fire element and Kapha: water element).

 Ayurveda has known the benefits of drinking water from a copper vessel for centuries. 

Ayurveda states that when you store water in a copper vessel or bottle for at least 12 – 18 hours, it releases the three Doshas (bio energies) that circulate through the human body (the Vata air element, the Pitta fire element and the Kapha water element) can balance. 

In addition, this water can help balance the pH value of your body.

 Copper is a trace element and is involved in the formation of connective tissue and bones and also provides a proper functioning of the immune system. 

The recommended daily allowance of copper for adults is set at 0.9 mg. 

This means you can get about two to three cups of water from a copper vessel or bottle drink to experience its benefits. 

Don't exaggerate, because then it can be harmful to you welfare.

 Maintenance and cleaning of copper drinking vessels Never clean copper drinkware in the dishwasher.   When the copper color on the outside starts to shine less, you can add a lemon slice and some salt use to gently polish the copper drinkware. 

Then rinse and allow to dry thoroughly further use.   Never use an abrasive cleaner to clean the inside. 

Instead, use half of one lemon and rub it over the inside. 

Leave for a few minutes and then wash off with plain water.   You can also use (baking) soda with water to wash the cup.   Do not expose to direct sunlight.   Note: Due to oxidation, copper discolors over time and may show stains.

 How do you make copper water?

 Rinse the copper drinking vessel with water before use. 

Put water in a copper bottle at least 12 – 18 hours in advance and close it. 

For example, prepare the water in the afternoon and drink the water the next morning.

It is recommended to drink water at room temperature. 

Copper water should not be stored in the refrigerator.

 Copper drinking vessels are only suitable for water! 

Do not use for other liquids, nor the water mix with herbs or fruits.
