BILLIANI 1911

In 1911 Billiani was born from crossing a border. An encroachment that today, more than a century later, is a key to understanding design, straddling tradition and experimentation; for craft and industrial production; for the products, which from the contract spaces overlook those of the home. The Billiani company was born to produce curved and straw-covered wooden chairs. The family-run factory is located in the heart of what will become the chair district after the Second World War: the brothers Ottone, Orlando, Lino and Bruno Billiani will experience the boom years as protagonists. In 1986 the third generation joined the company and Billiani became synonymous with seats for large orders, especially abroad.

At the end of the nineties Luigi Billiani, who has the same name as his grandfather and who trained as an architect, decided to embark on the path of design and together with his wife Veronik Romanutti created the Billiani of today.
