For nearly 30 years, we have been working for local development and the promotion of fair, respectful and responsible organic farming in Togo. On the strength of our experience with pineapple, we have chosen to enhance and promote the production of Cashew Nuts in Togo, hitherto sold mainly raw to foreign processors. Small producers are brought together in cooperative groups and trained to make better use of their harvests, which we pre-finance and buy at a price above the market. Then, we peel, dry and package them locally, in our workshop in Togo to provide local employment and limit the rural exodus.
