Grande navette marseillaise: yeast-free biscuit delicately flavored with orange blossom, entirely hand-shaped in the shape of a boat reminiscent of the “nave” that brought the Saintes back to our Mediterranean coasts. For the people of Provence, they evoke the miraculous boat “la Nave” which is said to have brought Mary Magdalene, Mary Salome, Martha and Lazarus back to our shores from the Holy Land.
