‘Tâvus’ block print canvas loafers

I’m ‘Tâvus’, which in Persian language means Peacock, inspired by the vivid blue colour of my skin. I’m a fruit of a collaboration between Iranian textile artisans and our Italian shoe masters in Italy. the fabric used on my skin is made by the hands of talented Iranian artisans in the heart of Isfahan city in Iran using the traditional block print method called Ghalamkar. Our Italian footwear artisans have then transformed this beautiful fabric to a traditional Venetian loafer called ‘Friulane’ or ‘Papusse’, which I am today.
