Plenza placemat with hemstitch in linen and cotton by Busatti

Our weaving mill is located in Tuscany, this is the land we breathe every day. Some fabrics have always been part of our culture. Like the diamond drawing that we find in the tradition of many European courts: it was made in Siena already in the early Middle Ages at the beginning of the Via Cassia and then the Via Francigena. The name Pienza derives from the fact that this road led to the village of the same name. Some immortal testimonies of this design can be admired in medieval paintings, such as the Last Supper by Duccio da Boninsegna and in the cloister of Monteoliveto Maggiore Buonconvento in Siena in the representation of the refectory of the Olivetan friars. From this illustrious past, the fabric has kept in its texture the love for quality and respect for beautiful things. Dimensions: 35 x 45 cm Material: 60% linen 40% cotton Design: geometric Finishing: hem to the day
