Origin Ethiopia - forest coffee from organic farming. Discover this very gourmet coffee with notes of chocolate and caramel. Its citrus notes bring a nice acidity typical of Ethiopian coffees. The little story: This forest coffee from organic farming is harvested in the Dambi Uddo forest, whose exceptional environment is preserved. The qararo is the endemic tree that protects the coffee trees from the sun and allows optimal ripening of the cherries. It is also the name given to the plot located at an altitude of 2120m on which this coffee is grown. The producer, Wadessa Yachisa, arrived in this forest in the Guji appellation a little over 10 years ago. Forced to stop his studies at 17 to join the army and do his military service, he had to bounce back and turn to other projects when he returned. He first worked in the gold mines in the Guji region. He then invested his savings in coffee. It was while going to a religious ceremony that he discovered this forest. Over the course of discussions with the farmers of the area, he made the decision to invest in this coffee forest through his family company Guji Highland Coffee Plantation PLC, and to cultivate high quality coffees there, whose production methods meet environmental protection requirements.
