AVAILABLE FOR PRE-ORDER, DELIVERY JANUARY L’Ermitage is the Valais appellation for wine made from Marsanne Blanche grapes. An appellation which it owes to the most famous hillside reserved for it: that of Tain-l’Ermitage in the Côtes-du-Rhône, its lands of origin. A late-ripening grape variety, Ermitage thrives in warm, stony and well-drained soils like those of Domaine Prafalcon (1.5 ha), in the municipality of Sierre. Tasting Notes Yellow color; complex aromas reminiscent of undergrowth, mushrooms, asparagus, wild strawberries, white truffle, and fresh almonds. Aromas that are found on the palate and which have a beautiful persistence. This is a full-bodied vintage with a high concentration supported by a delicate bitterness on the finish. It produces a rich, full-bodied and powerful wine, strongly characterized, which ages beautifully, developing aromas of almonds and smoke. Food pairings It is an ideal accompaniment to foie gras, whether hot or cold, and poached or braised fish; it also pairs beautifully with rich, creamy desserts flavored with wild berries.
