Château Les Graves de Viaud is a family estate located in the Côtes de Bourg, taken over in 2010 by Philippe Betschart and his mother Françoise. After careers far removed from wine, they decided to reconnect with their Bordeaux roots and converted the estate to biodynamics and created a range of traditional fine wines.
In 2014, they created the brand "La Colombine", which includes their natural wines made from their own grapes and white grapes supplied by a partner. All their wines are certified organic, and the reds are certified biodynamic by Demeter.
Covering 15 hectares, including 5.5 vines located on clay-gravel soils facing due south, the estate is committed to environmentally friendly agriculture. Beyond organic and biodynamic certifications, the château adopts conservation agriculture, without animal manure, and vinifies its wines naturally, without oenological additives or animal products. All in an approach of innovation and respect for nature to offer authentic and unique wines.
All the wines are certified organic and the estate's reds biodynamic by Demeter. All wines are certified Vegan.
