7 km west of Nuits St Georges lies at the junction of the Meuzin and Raccordon valleys, the village of Meuilley. From 1270, the old chronicles indicate the presence of a “very important” vineyard there. The hillside of Mion has always been very famous for its reds because of its southern exposure and its light and stony soil. powdery mildew in 1860 and Phylloxera in 1880, its vineyard has been reborn for a few years now and the hillsides regain their former appearance. Confidently looking to the future, Meuilley develops quality viticulture. The Château de Meuilley contributes to this by combining technological progress while nevertheless preserving ancestral wine-growing traditions. TASTING Grape: Pinot Noir Color: The color is dark red, the wine shows a certain concentration, but remains very "Pinot". Nose: On the nose, we clearly recognize aromas of fresh red fruits which will evolve over time towards black fruits. Palate: Firm flavor, enhanced by good acidity and very present tannins.
