Hi, my name is Bex, and I create beautifully hand poured, unique wax crayons.
Crayon Box was born just over seven years ago, with a 3 month old baby in my arms I had a need to try and get my then 3 year old (Oscar) to sit and colour for just 5 minutes. After working our way through many boxes of wax sticks I set upon making something sturdier and more interesting for little hands. Originally made with broken odds and ends and now tidied up, polished and gift ready, I am proud that six years later my creations are being loved by so many.
I am based in North Yorkshire, the idea started in my kitchen and the business is still run from my kitchen, I am proud that every item is created, polished and boxed by myself with 3 children and a dog often running around my feet.
Childhood imagination is at the heart of everything I create and while I do offer personalised prints to complete your gift I am a believer in free play colouring outside the lines.
