Hi!
I'm Gina, a 21-year-old student and the creative mind behind DerJuteBag. Ever since I was a child, I have been creative in every way. Painting, handicrafts, sewing and embroidery give my life peace and serenity. About a year ago I was on a small European trip (traveling is my other great passion besides being creative) and I had an old jute bag with me that I used as a beach, shopping and everyday bag on this trip. Since it was generally out of date and looking pretty worn out, I decided it was time to get a new one. So I kept my eyes out for the rest of the trip, but unfortunately couldn't find one in any city. Either I didn't like the motifs or the bags were way too expensive for me. So I decided I would just paint one myself. It wouldn't be that difficult, I thought to myself.
As soon as I got home, I bought unpainted jute bags and fabric paint and got started. I quickly realized how much fun I had designing and painting/embroidering the bags, so I decided to keep going. But since I don't need countless jute bags myself, I looked around for opportunities to sell them.
