Art Postcard - Nice - The Port

The panorama of the port and the Mediterranean from the castle hill is breathtaking! Having become a tourist hotspot, the port owes its existence to King Charles-Emmanuel III of Sardinia who had it built in 1749 in an area linking Nice to France. Initially a commercial crossroads for foodstuffs, it is also today a fishing spot and a setting for the “pointus”, traditional wooden boats from Nice.
