Hi, I'm Emma Fenech, a stained glass artist from Barcelona. I handcraft pendants, earrings, rings and bracelets in patterned fusing glass and porcelain.
The passion for glass has accompanied me since I was little when I visited the blown glass factories in Malta, my mother's country. In 2003 I set up my own art and ceramic atelier but it was in 2008 when I started in the world of glass with the fusing and lead techniques. With the bases and knowledge received by my two great teachers, D. Gibernau and R. Cabello, I began to create my first glass pieces.
The Art Fenech glass jewelry collections are the result of years researching and refining the technique of decorated glass and later thermofused.
I combine my trade as a graphic designer and illustrator with that of a glass artisan to create these exclusive collections. In all of them there is a personal touch, from those of their own design to those inspired by modernist art, my hometown Barcelona, iconography, art and design.
Each collection has a trace that defines it and makes it unique: design and color. They are collections that are changing and evolving in the same way that I am doing as an artist.
I decided to work with glass because it is a material that provides brightness, transparency and color that few techniques can offer.
