Hot pepper powder

Hot pepper is a spice known for its heat and intense flavor. It gives off a rich aroma including earthy, smoky, spicy and fruity notes. It is made from ripe, dried and ground chili peppers, making it an essential ingredient to enhance your culinary preparations. On the palate it offers a spicy flavor with a slight sweet note and floral touches that make it ideal for adding spice to spicy recipes. Compared to fresh chili pepper, chili powder retains its aromas and taste properties better.  Hot pepper is obtained from the ripe fruits of the pepper Capsicum annuum and Capsicum, which grow in India, China and Spain. Dried and finely ground, it is appreciated for its organoleptic qualities and its health benefits, notably its digestive, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It is also rich in vitamins A and C, potassium and magnesium. However, it is very strong, reaching 8/10 on the Scoville scale.  Hot pepper has a long history in global cuisine, dating back thousands of years. Archaeologists discovered its widespread use by Mesoamerican civilizations almost 8,000 years ago. Additionally, it was recently revealed that birds played a role in the spread of chili peppers across the world.  Health-wise, hot pepper is rich in vitamins and minerals, making it a nutritious ingredient. It contains antioxidants and phytochemicals that protect against chronic diseases. In addition, its capsaicinoid content contributes to blood circulation and pain relief, also improving digestion and reducing inflammation.  Hot pepper can be used in a variety of dishes, from Asian cuisines to Mediterranean preparations to Latin American dishes. It goes well with sauces, marinades, soups, salads and stuffings, as well as dishes with fish, chicken, pork, poultry and vegetables. It is also used in sweet preparations such as chocolate, compotes and fruit salads. To fully reveal its flavor, it is recommended to brown it in a hot pan with a little oil or brown it in a saucepan before adding it at the end of cooking, which intensifies its aromas. It can also be infused in a drizzle of oil before being added to salads and raw vegetables.
