VET Liver Diet Snack

The liver plays a crucial role in the metabolism of protein and the detoxification of its waste products. When liver function is impaired, ammonia builds up in the bloodstream, which, at a certain concentration, can pass from the blood into the nerve tissue. Since ammonia is a potent neurotoxin, we also have the appropriate treats as a supplement to a complete feed for the liver diet. When developing the recipe, it was particularly important to us to keep the quality of the proteins in the form of muscle meat as high as possible and also to adapt the recipe so that the protein content is kept low. The product is also characterized by a sufficient energy supply with a value of 1.48 MJ/100g, as the dog should maintain its body mass. To complement the recipe, we also add vitamin E, as this is an important component in the healthy care of patients with liver disease.
