La Fleur Laroze 2014, Saint Emilion Grand Cru

La Fleur Laroze is a stylized version of Château Laroze, Grand Cru Classé of Saint Emilion, without distorting the "trademark" of the property: namely the strong presence of Cabernet Franc, which is the prerogative of the three most famous crus. of Saint Emilion. Second wine of the property, its main characteristic is to have a more measured complexity than the first wine Château Laroze. By limiting the blend to the two main grape varieties: 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, with the direct consequence of an adapted vinification and aging process. This cuvée is aged partly in vats and partly in one-year-old barrels. The estate practiced Bio-dynamics until 1998; today it is an agriculture adapted to the terroir of Laroze which is practiced with the concern of being as healthy and as clean as possible. The Meslin family is very concerned about respecting biodiversity. The soils are grassed and worked with a plow without the use of any chemical weed killer. No chemical fertilizer is used in the vines; only organic matter is added. La Fleur Laroze reveals its aromas as soon as the bottle is opened, without the need to aerate the wine. His talent was expressed from the first years. Recognized for its ability to stand the test of time, it is accredited in Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. The purity and freshness of its aromas accompany a harmonious and suave palate. Aging potential: about eight years.
