Falstaff Verlag, based in Vienna, is the publisher of Falstaff Magazine Austria. From the very beginning, the focus has been on the Falstaff Magazine and with it the focus on enjoyment, wine, food and travel. Wine and restaurant guides, a design magazine and one with recipes are also published. Since the 2010s, the publisher has also been pursuing an international strategy for marketing country versions of Falstaff Magazin Austria. An evaluation system for wines and wineries introduced in 2007 is internationally recognized and stands for the high level of competence in this segment. In addition to the print editions, the company relies on a strong digital strategy. With the website with a database of over 139,000 wines and around 10,000 restaurants, newsletter, social media presence and apps, the publisher stands for the greatest possible competence in the special interest segment of wine magazines.
