Olivier Ravoire highlights the history of the Ravoire family by signing this range in honor of the epic tale of Captain Ravoire – valiant knight of the 16th century – in Comtat Venaissin in 1593.   For this, a term from the lexicon of chivalry was assigned to each name.   Thus, our Châteauneuf-du-Pape has the vintage name “Carapaçon”, a term designating the ornamental armor with which horses were covered in the Middle Ages.
