The silver fir is the tallest European tree, it can indeed reach 60 meters, even 80 meters in height. It lives up to 500 years, and the diameter of its trunk reaches 2 meters. This giant with needles streaked with two small white lines, with silvery bark, grows from an altitude of 900 meters in the Pyrenean forests.
