Organic Siccagno Tomato Puree

The variety of tomato used for this delicious pureed sauce from I Frutti del Sole is the "siccagno", a unique tomato of its kind because it is grown only in the Madonie hills, in Sicily, without any spraying by the farmers.  Siccagno tomato puree is a rich, dense and naturally very sweet condiment.  The Siccagno tomato is very tasty, so much so that the puree can also be cooked without salt.
