Amethyst and gold statement ring__Amethyst / R

These are gloriously unusual and beautiful rings. A large oval of faceted deep purple amethyst sits snugly on a bed of gold vermeil, with two semi circular ‘bookends’ and a broad central mount. This design is very modern and shows the stone off to perfection. It is also a beautifully heavy ring and the metal is brushed .925 sterling silver with a full micron of 18k gold vermeil, so the gold should last well. What do we love about this ring?
