Our empeltre is an extra virgin olive oil that is produced exclusively from the empeltre olive variety. This is a variety grown almost exclusively in Bajo Aragón. Our farm is located in the beautiful region of Matarraña in front of the Los Puertos massif. It extends between the municipalities of Cretas and Lledó. The olive trees are 100% dry and some centenarians. Characteristics of the Empeltre variety: Soft and fruity flavor, with notes of almond and fresh herbs. Intense golden color, with green and yellow reflections. Rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, which are beneficial for cardiovascular health. It also contains polyphenols and antioxidants, which have anti-inflammatory and anticancer properties. Culinary uses: Empeltre oil is ideal for use in salads, to accompany fish and shellfish, or to make sauces and dressings.
