The Echinocactus Grusonii germinates quickly but is slow in growth.  Under ideal conditions (read: in the full sense in Mexico) it can grow up to one meter in diameter.  At home it will grow to a height of about 30 cm after a few years.     The best place for an Echinocactus Grusonii The cactus comes from the desert garden and therefore likes a lot of sun and light.  Feel free to place it in full sun so that it can grow well, but it will grow less quickly in the dark or in the shade.     How much water does an Echinocactus Grusonii need?
Cacti have few stomata and therefore the 'leaf' hardly evaporates water.  Moreover, a cactus can absorb many times its own weight in water.  In winter it can survive two months without water without any problems.  In summer it is better to give a good amount of water per watering instead of a little each time, the roots should not remain in the water continuously.  Water it every 3 weeks in the summer.
