The creeping plant has a fairly thick stem, which can grow up to 20 meters long.  The Monstera can also grow meters high in the living room, if properly cared for.  Naturally, it needs something to climb on, otherwise the Monstera will crawl.  The leaves are large, shiny and leathery and get holes as they get older.  The leaves can grow up to 90 cm long.     The best place for a Monstera Deliciosa This houseplant likes to be in a place where there is no sun all day, and it does not tolerate the warm hours of sunshine in the afternoon.  A place where the Monstera is in the shade for half of the day is preferred.  In the countries of origin Panama and Mexico it is nice and warm, which is what the hole plant likes, but be careful with temperatures lower than 15 degrees.     How much water does a Monstera Deliciosa need?
The soil in the pot may remain slightly moist in spring and summer. In winter, the soil may feel dry for a week before you water it again.  Be especially careful with too much water, as the leaves may develop (irreversible) yellow spots or brown edges.  Therefore, do not water it too often and start with small amounts.  Is the soil still wet after about 5 days?  Then give me less water next time.  Feed the Monstera in the spring with Plantfood houseplant food.  These tablets then provide enough nutrition for a whole year!
