It is one of the larger Greek islands that is off the tourist track. In addition, the Limnos is as good as uninhabited. That means: Lots of space for the cultivation of the finest wild herbs! Thus, Lemnos is a true paradise for herbs. Because the volcanic soil of the island, in combination with its dry climate, tickles the special thing out of the little plants: In these truly optimal conditions, the essential oils of thyme - carvacol and thymol - can develop optimally.
