Poster Bargoin Clermont-Ferrand Museum

A museum of Gallo-Roman antiquities in the heart of Clermont-Ferrand, the Bargoin Museum is one of the most beautiful neoclassical facades in the city. This poster illustrated by Sophie Navas pays homage to the city's oldest museum! A poster about the historical museum of Clermont-Ferrand: the Bargoin Museum. This museum of the history of natural sciences, located next to the Jardin Lecoq, was named after a local 19th-century industrialist who bequeathed his collections and fortune to the city. The building was constructed by the Clermont architect Joseph Dionnet. A neoclassical building inaugurated in 1903 in the heart of the city, the Bargoin Museum offers particularly rich and original collections. It houses two departments: one devoted to local archaeology (Bronze Age and Gallo-Roman antiquities) and the other to non-European textile arts. This poster pays homage to its neoclassical façade and its grilles crafted by the ironworker Bernardin.
