Discover the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department (Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur region) in a minimalist version in this poster which highlights the region's relief. Poster printed on Hahnemuehle 315g Fine Arts paper. This poster is a 2D print. The Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, a frugal department at the foot of the Alps The former department of Basses-Alpes, renamed Alpes-de-Haute-Provence since 1972, is a mainly mountainous territory at the foothills of the French Alps. Bordering Italy, it can be divided into three main geographical areas: the Durance Valley, the Pre-Alps and the Grandes Alpes where we find the Ubaye Valley, the Blanche and the Haut Verdon. Its prefecture, Castellane, has the distinction of being the smallest in France - located a stone's throw from the Verdon Gorges, it has 15,000 inhabitants. Its other main towns, Manosque, Digne-les-Bains, Sisteron, Oraison or Forcalquier are not indicated on this minimalist map all in white, but we have no doubt that connoisseurs will very easily guess where they are!
