Ceramic bowl "Blue Night 12"

In Thailand, celadon was first made in Sukhothai - the capital of the first Thai kingdom. Today, the highest quality artistic celadon ceramics in Thailand are produced in Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. IATITAI celadon bowls are made from locally sourced raw materials, hand carved and fired at 800° in the floral pattern of Pud Tan, the Thai word for sacred flower. The clay is glazed with wood ash combined with surface soil collected from local rice fields. The high-quality ceramic thus receives the unique color tones that are so characteristic of the celadon design.
