This cherry specialty has a unique taste and texture because it does not contain pectin. Produced in Italy, on the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines near Florence. Each jar is made with at least 30 whole cherries, a dash of grape juice and a splash of lemon juice. It is simply premium quality organic fruit pressed in a jar, with nothing else added. Without pectin. With no added sugar. Without added preservatives. Of artisan quality, it has a purely flavor of sun-ripened fruit. It is delicately cooked in small batches using organic fruit mainly sourced from local orchards. More than 100g of cherries are used to make 100g of our cherry specialty; which is double the quantity normally used in traditional jams and preserves recipes. Using an innovative technique, organic fruit is gently cooked at low temperatures to help protect the vitamins, minerals, fiber content and aroma. Unlike the traditional way of preparing jams and preserves, which destroys their goodness with boiling heat.
