How it happened?
In April 2021, I gave birth to my son. It was a magical experience, and after the loneliness and isolation of COVID, we were inundated with gifts. Fourteen months later, we moved back to Vancouver. We packed up our house and sold almost everything we owned, but I kept every card I received celebrating my son's birth. They went in my suitcase and traveled thousands of miles with me. I will keep these cards forever.
Like many female founders, when I had my son, life changed completely. We left Vancouver and returned to the UK, and within a few weeks, I had started the business in my parents' spare bedroom. Yes, it was a lot, so I managed to convince my sister, Lydia that we could do wonderful things if she could handle the paperwork, and Jemma Jamie was born. I didn't forget about those cards, the ones I would keep forever. They were beautiful, magical gestures of love and joy. However, not all of them were beautiful, reusable, or designed to be kept forever. Weddings, birthdays, and births are such significant and important events, and the cards we give should reflect that. That's why I wanted to create cards and paper products that people couldn't part with. Cards that were designed slowly with love and care, ensuring they were truly extraordinary.
