Bichopoems and other beasts

The protagonists of Bichopoemas y otros bestias, winner of the Euskadi Prize for Literature 2017, are well-known creatures -from the owl to the lion, passing through the octopus or the snake- that inhabit the land, water and air. Grouped into flying, aquatic, crawling and roaring verses, the playful rhyme and catchy rhythm of these compositions invite them to be recited and sung collectively, as a family or in the classroom. These verses stand out for their musicality, the onomatopoeias that reproduce the sounds of animals and word games based on concatenations, poetic dialogues, acrostics, repetitions and other literary devices.
