Mr. Elce is a solitary and habitual type, he hardly ever goes to town except for the necessary expenses. One day at the general store he learns that the bear, who lives up in the mountains, has broken a leg, and so he thinks he can bring him something. Once he has done it, however, he imagines that Mr. Bear may need more and returns to him.
