La cabane bleue

Josephine Baker and I

I am a cat, a big cat.   They call me Chiquita.   Maybe because I'm a cheetah, a cheetah.   Maybe not.   It was never explained to me why.    In the 1930s, in Paris, Joséphine Baker, a black dancer born in the United States, enjoyed immense success thanks to the Revue nègre.
It was at this time that she was offered Chiquita, a cheetah who would at the same time scandalize, terrorize and fascinate those around her, while a fierce complicity was woven between the woman and the feline.    A poetic and colorful documentary, which highlights the complicity between an extraordinary woman and her animal.
A unique approach to the character of Joséphine Baker, whose fight for the fraternity of peoples is nourished by her love for all living beings.    Written by Emmanuelle Grundmann, illustrated by Maguelone du Fou.
A docufiction that highlights Joséphine Baker and her complicity with...
his cheetah! from 6 years old
