The Distillerie des Terres Rouges directly processes all the aromatic raw materials (plants, seeds, spices) that come from renowned herbalists, by maceration or distillation, and not, like most of our competitors, only extracts. It is undeniable that macerations or distillations of green anise or star anise for example, will thus provide not only the essential anethole, but in addition an increased subtlety and aromatic complexity. The same is true for the licorice root and for the other ingredients used. Composition and flavor: first of all, the anise and liquorice notes are deliberately quite light and more subtle. Then, and above all, its own taste comes from a harmonious bouquet of spices and plants used in a fairly high proportion. Star anise, green anise, well-seasoned liquorice, as well as green and white cardamom, juniper, angelica, caraway, coriander and mugwort are thus used. The richness and complexity here are not based on a record quantity of plants, but rather on the aptitude of those implemented to release an original, harmonious and seductive personality. Finally, its color is completely natural, without the addition of caramel, and comes quite simply from the plants put to infuse.
