Ginger, from India, is used mainly in oriental cuisine as a flavor enhancer in meat dishes, fish, rice, risottos ... In western cuisine we limit ourselves to its dry or powdered use, which provides a certain exotic aroma, going from sweet to spicy flavor; this being another of its properties. Also suitable for sweet dishes, cakes, cookies, desserts, sorbets, caramelised fruits or the famous "gingerbread".
