( approximately)</p><p> </p><p>"La Mochila" is a handcrafted bag made by</p><p>women from the <strong>WAYUU</strong> indigenous community. It has a special meaning because in their language - Wayuunaiki - the bag is called "susu", which means: that which walks with you. </p><p> </p><p>The backpacks are made with 100% cotton thread. The manufacturing time</p><p>can range from one week for a plain backpack to two weeks</p><p>for a backpack with designs and three to four weeks for</p><p>the finest backpacks, made from a single thread. Furthermore, they are</p><p>machine washable at 30°. </p><p>The knitting technique, usually crochet, or "ganchillo,"</p><p>is an ancestral practice that is learned during one of the community's rituals. </p><p> </p><p><strong>Attention:</strong> The weight and dimensions of the backpacks are approximate because each</p><p>designer has their own creative technique, resulting in a significantly different</p><p>final result.</p>
