Handmade Women's Cotton Shoulder Bag "Mochila no.5”

Dimensions: Height: 26 cm.   Diameter: 23 cm.   Weight: 250g. ( approximately) “La Mochila” is an artisanal bag handmade by women from the WAYUU indigenous community.   It has a meaning special because in their language - wayuunaiki - the bag is called "susu ”, which means: what works for you.    The mochilas are made with 100% cotton yarn.   Manufacturing time can go from one week for a plain mochila to two weeks for a mochila with drawings and three to four weeks for the finest mochilas, made from a single thread.   Furthermore, they are machine washable at 30°.   The knitting technique, usually crochet, or “ganchillo”, is an ancestral practice that is learned during one of the rituals of the community.    Please note: The weight and dimensions of the mochilas are approximate because each creator has her own creative technique involving a result significantly different ending.
