It is suitable for the natural care of inflamed nipples and diaper rash. Pure lanolin protects the skin from dryness, cracking and hypersensitivity. Lanolin does not need to be removed before breastfeeding. A wool cure can also be made inexpensively from pure lanolin. The wool fat impregnates wool overpants or other wool items such as boiled wool jackets that are exposed to a lot of moisture. To do this, dissolve a little lanolin in hot water and a little baby shampoo. You can find detailed instructions here. Add a few drops of delicates detergent, wool detergent or baby shampoo and stir well until a milky-white liquid forms. Put this mixture in a bucket with approx. 1-2 liters of water. Place the freshly washed woolen overalls, turned inside out, in the wool treatment and leave to work for a few hours until the water has cooled down. Slightly pull out the woolen overalls, do not wring, and lay flat to dry in the shade.
